Giorgia Borg is the young and talented preteen singer who made all of Malta proud when she reached the semi-final at Britain’s Got Talent. She started singing from the young age of 5 and had always dreamt of being on Britain’s Got Talent. At one point her parents decided to apply and the rest is history. The talented young star got Alesha’s (one of the BGT judges) golden buzzer at the age of 10 meaning she would go straight to the semi-finals. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m 11 years old, born in Sydney but moved to Malta when I was 6 months old. I’ve been taking singing lessons since I was 5 years old & my passions are music, animals & unicorns.
What inspired you to start singing?
I was only 5 years old then so my parents had made that decision because they could see my potential & I obviously continued because I love it so much. Singing is my life.
What was the reason you decided to apply for BGT?
I used to watch bgt from before I started singing myself & I always used to tell my parents how it is my dream to be in bgt so that year they decided to apply for me & I was accepted.
Would you describe yourself as a foodie?
Yes, definitely! I love food.
What is your favourite dish?
Tarja lol, the fried pasta with egg.
What is your guilty food pleasure?
Chocolate mousse
Do you enjoy eating out?
Yes
Is there any international cuisine you are fond of?
Japanese, I love sushi!
What was the strangest food you have ever tried? and did you enjoy it?
I tried crickets & yes they were quite nice.
Are there any foods that bring back special memories to you?
Yes, Cinnabon because whenever my nannu visits me from Australia, it’s our thing that he takes me there
